On the 4th of September, we lost a very valued member of our family, Chintala Bhaskar Reddy. The sudden demise which was the result of COVID-19 has left all of us in a deep shock.
He used to work as a Librarian at Malla Reddy College in Hyderabad, India. Since March 2020, due to the nationwide lockdown, all schools and colleges were closed. He was one of those employees furloughed and since then there was no income for the family. With savings running out, his wife took a temporary job to run the family. In August 2020 the most dreaded thing happened, Corona Virus (COVID-19) struck their family. Bhaskar Reddy, his wife and his teenage son had to be admitted in the hospital. While wife and son were gradually recovering, unfortunately Bhaskar Reddy's situation worsened. Even after various treatments like plasma therapy, Remdesivir course and other medications, none of them worked. The infection spread to blood so fast that he ultimately lost his life fighting the virus. In a span of few weeks, their life turned upside down and the family spent most of their savings to huge hospital bills. He leaves behind his wife Madhavi and 15 year old son Varshith.
He lead a very simple life, did yoga regularly and liked by everyone. Anyone who met him, can never forget his smiling face. He was only 46 years old. He was a great father and husband for whom his family always came first.
My name is Ramesh Reddy Chintala and I’m the younger brother of Bhaskar Reddy. I’m organizing this through friends and family to raise funds to support my brother's grieving family to pay for memorial services and to support other expenses.
