Él es mi papá, Jesús David Rugarcia. Esposo, padre, profesor, amigo y por sobre todas las cosas un buen ser humano que merece respirar y vivir. Ha sido por siempre cabeza y pilar de nuestra familia. Para todos los que lo rodeamos un ser ejemplar. Hoy necesita de nuestra ayuda.
Él está hospitalizado en Barquisimeto y presenta un cuadro respiratorio delicado. Su diagnosis ha sido ya confirmado: Covid-19. Papá no puede estar sin oxígeno. Su dosificación debe ser ininterrumpida al igual que la medicación y otras atenciones de primera necesidad: alimentación, insumos clínicos diarios, etc.
Para nadie es un secreto la situación que se vive en Venezuela y con la llegada del Corona Virus ha sido mucho peor. Hoy nos ha tocado de cerca a nosotros, la familia Rugarcia Caruci. My name is Olaf Urban and I am the husband of Mayruth Rugarcia de Urban. She is the daughter of Jesus Rugarcia, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 and a heavy pneumonia. He couldn't breath anymore and was transported to hospital by emergency on the 5th of September 2020.
The major problem is, that he is living in Venezuela, where health system is very bad (even almost not existing). The only option on this day for him to survive, was bringing him to a private hospital to receive oxygen. Just a single day in a private hospital in Venezuela is costing about a 1000 dollars.
After stabilizing him, he was transferred to a public hospital, which is giving kind of an acceptable treatment too and is much more affordable. For the transfer by ambulance car from one to the other place, they charged us another 600 Dollars.
We payed for all this although the Corona Lockdown here in Germany hit us very hard with our businesses. And we have to continue paying the treatment for the next 3 weeks at least. Therefor we urgently need financial help.

Ich bin Olaf Urban und der Mann von Mayruth Rugarcia de Urban. Sie ist die Tochter von Jesus Rugarcia, der am 05. September mit der Diagnose Covid-19 und einer schweren Lungenentzündungen per Nottransport in die Klinik gebracht werden musste ... er bekam keine Luft mehr.
Bei uns in Deutschland ist das zwar auch gefährlich, aber er wäre gut versorgt und es gäbe eine Krankenversicherung, die alles bezahlt. Aber leider wohnt mein Schwiegervater in Venezuela, wo es so gut wie kein Gesundheitssystem mehr gibt. Als Deutscher kann man sich die dortigen Verhältnisse kaum vorstellen. Um eine Chance auf Überleben zu haben (also künstlich Sauerstoff zu bekommen), musste mein Schwiegervater am Tag des Lungenversagens in einer privaten Klinik untergebracht werden. Das kostet in diesem Land rund 1000 Dollar (ca. 850 Euro) pro Tag.
Nachdem er stabilisiert war, haben wir ihn sofort in ein öffentliches Krankenhaus überführen lassen, welches eine einigermaßen vernünftige Behandlung für Covid-Patienten gewährleistet ... und auch nicht so teuer ist. Aber alleine die Krankenwagenfahrt von einem zum anderen Hospital hat uns 600 Dollar gekostet.
Selbstverständlich haben wir diese Kosten übernommen, obwohl wir auf Grund des Corona-Lockdowns in Deutschland mit unseren Kleinunternehmen extrem hart betroffen waren und noch sind. Denn die Hyperinflation in Venezuela hat die vormals gute Rente meines Schwiegervaters nahezu aufgefressen ... er könnte sich keine Behandlung leisten, egal welcher Art.
Da wir seine Behandlung noch für mindestens 3 Wochen weiter bezahlen müssen, brauchen wir dringend finanzielle Unterstützung.
