Blanca Fernandez, a cousin & Comadre of mine recently lost her husband due to COVID-19 while her mother & father continue to fight her battle with this terrible virus. On May 20, 2020, her husband (Jose Junior Borunda) was taken to the emergency room at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California because shortness of breath and other symptoms. That is where he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and because he tested positive, everyone in their household had to come to the hospital to be tested as well. After the results came back it was determined her 2 older kids, brother, mother, father and including herself tested positive as well. On May 21, 2020, her mother was taken to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California where she remains isolated. On May 26,2020, her father was also taken to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California where he also remains isolated until further notice. The rest of her family including herself were sent home to be quarantined. They were advised to comeback in the next 2 weeks to be tested again.

As you can imagine, this tremendous loss has created an emotional, stressful and financial burden. I’m trying to provide her family with financial relief for medical and funeral expenses through this account.

Jose Junior Borunda born 6/20/1976 (44, Husband) and lost the battle with this deadly virus and passed away on 6/3/2020 leaving behind his wife Blanca, his sons: Gael, Cristian, Mateo. He also leaves behind his Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and multiple close friends as well.

Jose Junior Borunda aka “El Taliban” was 6 feet tall, a huge teddy bear that would put a smile on anyone’s face the second they met him. He loved the spotlight, he was the center of attention, always ready with his bag of jokes, always making fun of himself just to make you smile and laugh your butt off. His had lots of plans and goals in life and would always put his family first before anything. He loved LIFE so much that he constantly expressed his love towards people because in his owns words he would say “Dream as if you’ll live forever but live as if you’ll die today”.

Rest In Paradise Compadre Jr, aka El Taliban until we meet again Brother.

We ask that you keep the Borunda & Fernandez Familia in your prayers. Thank you very much in advance for your help and God bless you all, Amen.
